Shiba Inu Puppies for Sale

We've received a lot of feedback from our new puppy owners over the years.  Here are some of our recent comments & pictures for you. If you're one of our new owners and would be willing to share some words to our prospective new customers, please email me. All pictures received are put into our photo gallery. Thank you for your time!

I'm attaching a pic of "the family" from New Year's Eve, and a pic of Zoey in the RV. She is just a fabulous addition to our family and she goes everywhere with us. Loves the sand, snow, everything and is just a joy. People cannot walk past her without petting her and asking about her – she's very popular and very social! Thanks for such a sweet dog! Wishing you a Happy New Year! ~ Marlys & Chuck

Jo Jo is doing great, she has already slept through 3 whole nights without having to go out! She is a tough little thing, we think she is part Gremlin when she plays hard ;). We just love her, thanks for the beautiful Shibas!! ~ Marlys & Chuck (this is their 2nd shiba baby they recently adopted from us)

Thought you would get a kick out of this one of Zoey and Jo Jo "On the pontoon". They're inseparable and just adorable!~  Marlys & Chuck

Hello, I just wanted to send you a quick update on Kuma and to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for breeding such a wonderful puppy. We have now had Kuma for almost six months, and I can't tell you how much we enjoy and love him. He is such a mommas boy, loves to cuddle when he is tired but mostly just wants to be around people playing! My husband takes him to my parents house regularily during the day while working and he LOVES his grandparents house, which also usually has my sister's dog there too-they are BFFs. My sister has told me mutliple times that her dog does not like most other dogs and will not play with them, but when Kuma arrives he gets so excited and they play so well together. Kuma has the best personality ever-he is such a spitfire and is so funny with his mannerisms. He loves to pounce on his toys, especially those that move and then stop; like a ball or something. It's so cute! He also likes to stuff the biggest toy he has in his mouth and do what I like to call a puppy growl so we will play with him. People comment on it all the time about how great his personality is. And he is very good around other people which we were concerned about at first when reading more about the breed, but his temperment/personality is great. He is also such a smart dog, he almost seems like he's another person! He sure let's us know though when he wants something by his bark/"shiba scream", which I must say was easy when potty training him at least. We constantly get comments from others as well about what a great looking dog he is, which i must agree with:). Again, can't thank you enough and should we decide to go for multiple dogs you are our first stop! I've attached some pictures for you to see him grow up! -- Lyndi

Hi, we wanted to give you an update on General, now Aspen. Aspen is six months old, 20 pounds, and full of energy! He and our three year old female Shiba, Kaiah, continue to get along very well. The dogs recently joined us on a vacation in Colorado. Aspen really enjoyed hiking in the mountains! He was a big hit with the people we ran into; everyone commented on his good looks and fun personality. He fits so well in our family. Thanks for such a wonderful dog! Attached are a couple of pictures we thought you'd like to see. The first is Aspen with Kaiah, taken the first week we brought him home. The second is of the four of us a couple of weeks ago in Colorado. Thanks again! Jason and Kim

Hello! I just wanted to update you on spike (now Mochi), he is a little stubborn but he's learning really quick and he loves playing with my Mother's miniature schnauzer (they share bones, toys, and even their food dishes). I'd just like to thank you for the amazing new addition to my family, he is wonderful and receives tons of love and attention. Thanks again! - Jade

~~Jewel (now Kenshi II) and this cat, Phuzzie, are inseperable! They wrestle like this all the time. Behind them is the 'Skeeba free zone' won't be long before she figures out she can easily jump the blockade, or knock it over! Can't wait to see the next batch of puppies! I'm starting to think Paladin truely IS a Tokey Mack Daddy, lol! Is Sally having pups this year?- Karla & Duane

Just checking in ~ we took Kenshi II fishing this year, and she was great. (as long as we kept the long leash on her!). She still loves to play with her cat, and has remained very friendly to people and other dogs. Thanks so much!- Duane & Karla

~~Oh...I am dying of how adorable these puppies are. I would love another one. I got my Barlow (Cherry) from you in Feb 2009, and I love her so much! She is the absolute best dog. ever. Everyone who sees her thinks she is so beautiful, and then they are so impressed with her personality. The comments I get most often are "she looks like a little fox...or even ...is that a fox? (this is when I am walking her on a leash...haha.) Also, wow, she is so well behaved! I am at work today, and she comes with me here. She has so many friends that come in and out of the office, and even has her own chair. Don't worry, she gets plenty of outdoor time too, she's quite the hunter. Anyway, I just wanted you to know I absolutely love my little Shiba, and if my situation would allow me to get another, I would come straight to Buffalo Ridge! Thanks again! Andrea

Our Maximus is almost a year old and we wanted to let you know how good we are doing! He is such a smart little puppy (too smart sometimes) he was very easy to potty train and knew how to play fetch the day we got him. Now he sits, stays, and even takes the mail inside. He is the perfect combination of playful and cuddly. He needs a lot of exercise so he does not terrorize the house, so we walk him almost every day and play a lot of games. He loves to take naps with us and is very sweet. Max enjoys playing with other dogs and also loves kids and people in general. He thinks its his duty in life to keep the cat upstairs and chases him whenever he comes down. He is full grown and weighs 23.5 pounds. He has a beautiful coat that hardly ever gets dirty or smells. Max loves to be outside, play in the snow, go for rides, and just be with us in general. Thanks! Gina & Josh

I got my little girl from you in August of 2010. At the time her name was Nala, but I actually started calling her Autumn. She is doing very well, and has grown up so fast, but she still maintains that puppy look and attitude. She is adorable, sweet, cuddly, loving, and so smart. I just want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to own such an incredibly amazing little powerhouse of a dog. =) Best regards, Lizzie and Autumn ____________________________________

Just wanted to give you a little update on Oreo, the beautiful little puppy that my boyfriend Todd bought for us. Her name is now Nala and she is growing up to be an amazing dog! She is now about 5 months old and has so much energy. I work at a doggie daycare and take her with me to work two times a week where she plays nonstop with her new friends. She also loves playing at the park across the street from our apartment. Nala is the best thing that has happened to us, and I am so glad we got her from you!! Thank you so much for all the love and care you put into breeding her and raising her for the first couple weeks of her life. She is an absolute blessing!! Thanks again!- Samantha (&Todd)

Hi, It's been about 8 months, so I figured an update on Ellie is long overdue. I've renamed her Mochi (not after your dam, that's just a neat coincidence), she just turned a year old on the 19th of August and she weighs 26.6 pounds (all muscle - she gets lots of exercise!). She's a very happy pup. While I'm at work she goes to doggy daycare, then afterward we putter around the house and go for walks in the park, and on the weekends we go to the dog park for an hour or so each day. I haven't had time to do agility training with her like I've been wanting to, but we did a couple classes at PetSmart and now she knows "sit," "down," "leave it," "drop it [when she wants to]," "shake," "high five," "whisper," "speak," "wait," "stay," and "watch me." She's always getting compliments on how beautiful and well-behaved she is, although I'm still working on getting her used to being around people she doesn't know. She's incredibly smart, but can be a brat sometimes! Nevertheless, I'm truly grateful to have her. I paid you for her the day before my birthday, and I tell everyone she was my present to myself. She couldn't have come into my life at a better time, and she brings me so much joy and laughter. I've got an assignment to Okinawa coming up soon, and when I tell people I'm taking her with me, they always ask me why I can't leave her with someone here. Truth is, I couldn't do without my best friend and constant companion, and I can't even dream of letting someone else take her. Thank you so much for helping to bring her into my life! I'm enclosing a couple pictures so you can see how much she's grown and matured. Thanks again, Scott

Just wanted to reach out and send you an update on Jewel (now Lola). I have had Lola since February last year. She is great, truly a little fire cracker so curious about everything. She is always the life of the party, she loves people and other dogs (especially big dogs). She want to say hi to every dog and person on the street. Living in the city makes this a little hard to walk more than a few blocks at a time. Lol Thank you for breeding such great shiba's. Lola gets plenty of complements on her looks. Ps....she doesn't sit still long enough for many pictures. This is the only good one of her awake. The Yankees jersey only stayed on for 3 minutes. Lol Hope all is well. Laura

~~I just wanted to let you know that our female Shiba Portia is doing great! She so incredibly smart and has such a distinct personality that is always amusing us. I believe my husband contacted you last November while I was critically ill in the hospital because it was incredibly difficult to care for her at that time as she was still a puppy, but we have successfully overcome those obstacles I am happy to say, and I am finally able to bond with her in a meaningful way. She is absolutely meant for mountain life and loves the snow and will play outside for hours. We have let her off the leash ever since we have had her and she tends to follow our other dog around and typically will come back when called unless there are deer around to chase! It's been a great experience working with you and we are very attached to little Portia. Thank you for everything! Sincerely, Danielle and Christian

~~Hello! My name is Amber and my husband, Adam, and I bought a Shiba Inu from you a few years ago and we just LOVE him!! He is such a great addition to our family. We hadn't owned one before and now we would never own any other breed. He is truly special and we couldn't ask for a better dog! We love the way he looks and plays and just his over all manner about him! He is so funny to watch! I just wanted to share that with you and I have attached a family photo I thought you might enjoy. It's got my husband Adam holding Kirby and me holding our daughter, Kenlee. Sincerely, Amber

When I was looking at names, I chose Yuki because it meant happiness and good fortune and she became my little happiness. She is wonderful and we do things together every single day, whether its going to the beach, the dog park, the state park or just on play dates with her friends. She was housebroken within three weeks, waits very patiently until I give her the command to eat her food and loves to play with other dogs. She's a huge fan of the beach and digs holes all day while we're there. I've gotten nothing but compliments about her and she is growing up to be a great dog. I couldn't be more pleased! Attached are a couple of pictures. Jenny

I included a couple photos of the Yokester. She is so intelligent and sweet, and definitely the least moody shiba we’ve encountered, which was a personality trait we were worried about. She loves playing with our cats, little kids, other neighborhood dogs and digging, she LOVES digging! She has never been the instigator of bad or aggressive behavior, only a total sweetheart. Hope your family and the shiba’s are well----Sarah

~~Hello, Cherry is doing awesome. We changed her name to Mochi. Everyone loves her and she is so smart! Shes only had two accidents in the house so far but she actually barks to tell me she needs to go potty! I was surprised because since we had her home from the airport, she didn't make one peep. I almost thought she was mute. My cat still doesn't like her but I'm sure they'll get along soon. I'm thinking of signing up for a training class for her soon too so she can socialize more and learn some basic commands. Did you know she already knows how to play fetch? At first she would only bring it inside to her kennel then after a while she starts to bring it back to me. Again, so smart. Thank you so much for raising such a fine girl!

-Gina

How are you? I just want to update you with how Mochi (formerly cherry) is doing. She is very active and loves to play. She always try to play with the cat but the cat chases her around. It's cute to watch though. I've also attached some pictures for you. Her coat is a bright red now. Wish you and your family well. Take care.

~~First I would like to say, Thank You! so much for our wonderful little girl, Maiya! She is getting so big and has quite the personality. She loves doing anything outdoors, especially walks through the woods. She goes everywhere with us and loves sticking her head out the window on car rides. Thank you again for such a wonderful dog who is very loved! She loves running around the house with her brother and cuddling in bed at night. Every night before bed she starts the Shiba 500 and Fred is quick to chase her around the house! They get along great and are best friends. Feel free to post any pics or parts of the email on your website as we are very happy shiba owners! Sincerely, Kaila

~~I hope this email finds you well as it has been quite some time since I purchased Simba (Paladin and Remi's litter) from you! Today is his 3rd birthday and it made me think of you and the day I picked him up... he has brought so much joy to our family and he is doing very well (see pictures attached). I'm sure we will be in touch sometime in the future as I would love nothing more than to add more Shiba's to my family. Thanks for everything! -Lauren

~~I just wanted to give you an update on Koda and hopefully we will make it to the “happy Shiba owner page” I bought him as a Christmas present for my kids, and he fit in so well with our familyJ We have only had him for about 5 months and honestly I could not imagine our lives without him. He is so smart and was potty trained by 9 weeks and learned to sit and play fetch at only 8 weeks old! We just taught him to get “down” and working on “stay” J He is a little stubborn at times and can be a little aggressive at play time, but he is getting a lot better and can be very sweet too! I will be contacting you in a few months after we get him neutered and send some more updated pics. The pictures attached were taken at 3 months, 5 months and now at 7 months! Thanks again for Koda we LOVE himJ Cassandra

~~Thanks for calling me this morning, it was nice talking to you. Here are a couple pic's of our Kenji, they do not do him justice!! At least it will give you an idea of the handsome young fella he has become. Thanks again Amy for such a wonderful addition to our family. Sincerely, Sandy ____________________________________

~~It's Molly from TN. I just wanted to let you know that Reeses, now named Bear is an amazing dog! He was truly a blessing. Sorry it has taken me so long to give you an update, but I work in retail and its been crazy the last few months. I also attached a recent pic of my little man. Have a great week! _____________________________________

I picked Hachi up from the Delta terminal at around 6 PM, EST. The Delta personnel at the counter had him out of the cage and were playing with him when I arrived. They said he was too cute not to play with and even walked him for me. I've gotten nothing but compliments! At home, he was a bit shy around the other dogs, but after letting them all out in the fenced backyard, they played together very well. Hachi was hungry, he woofed down 2 small bowls of Eucanuba dog food, played some more and he is sound asleep. He is great! I love him and will take great care of him! Thank you for everything! Hi Amy! Hachi arrived super early at the airport and had contacted my boyfriend. He's really a bundle of energy and attracted a lot of attention from people. He loves hugs and likes to give kisses! This puppy gets along with other dogs very well and has a tendency to explore from high places then scampers around. After he gets tuckered out from playing he takes mini cat naps. Thank you so much! Our family truly adores him! -Stephanie _____________________________________

~~Yuki is doing great! He fluctuates between 25 and 26 pounds. Loves the snow still and is the friendliest dog ever. He has really done a lot better with his chewing everything up and we sure love having him in our lives! Thanks again! Craig and Sho

~~Kira is doing really well. She loves to play ball and chase. She absolutely loves other people, kids and even dogs too! She's a favorite visitor at the vet and they all love her there. All three vets at our clinic have told us she's the nicest Shiba they've ever seen. I've included a recent photo of her as well. Maybe you'll hear from us again in the future for a companion for Kira. We'll have to wait until she's a little less of a handful herself though! She's a very energetic puppy! Amy

~~I hope this email finds you doing well. I wanted to send an update on Kobe for 2010. Hopefully we can make it on to your "Happy Owners" page. :-) Kobe spent Christmas with 6 children ranging from ages 2 through 9, and she behaved wonderfully. We are attributing her great manners to the upbringing that she had with you and your family. She loves to sunbathe, chase her tail, and surprisingly, SNUGGLE! We can't wait to see what 2010 will bring for her. The bow she's wearing was from one of her Christmas presents that she received. Happy new year! Linh Hi Amy: I just wanted to drop a note to say Happy New Year! I hope all has been well. Kobe had a great year last year, and she has definitely grown into a fabulous shiba. She's so independent, but at the end of the day, she also just wants to curl up with me to go to bed. We've also figured out what foods work well for her, and she's not a very healthy 15lbs. :-) Kindest Regards, Linh

Just thought I would send you a quick picture and update. We have renamed Susie to Emily or Emmie as the kids like to call her. She is responding very well to her new home. I have her on a schedule and she likes to spend time in the yard with our duck (they play a lot together). She loved toys and had already learned to fetch and return as well as sit on command. She is very smart and loving. I am so glad we picked her! Warmly, Jacqueline

~~As for Samson, we actually renamed him Gus! He has grown up to be absolutely beautiful and a popular dog around the neighborhood. When we go to the dog park the people don't even know our name, but they know Gus! I have attached some pictures. He really is a great dog. That is why we are still deciding either to stick with a male or try something new and go with a female. We will sleep on it and get back to you tomorrow about our decision. Thanks again for all the advice! Gabrielle & Sheldon

~~Just wanted to let you know that little Teddy has arrived and he is at home safe and sound. We absolutely love him! He is beautiful and definitely has a playful personality! Thank you so much for getting him to us before Christmas, we really appreciate it! Thank you again and hope you have a happy holiday. Sincerely, Gabrielle And Sheldon

~~Greetings, Here is a picture of brother and sister. They play nonstop. Dexter is doing really well, he loves to eat, goes to the bathroom outside most of the time, will sit on command and knows many words of which his favorite is treat. He does have little temper tantrums at times and we are working on that. Kathy

~~He is doing awesome! I love him so much. He's almost potty trained. He knows sit and we always sit before we cross the street. We ended up naming him Zeus. Every Sunday we go to my moms to play with her beagle puppy and they have SO much fun. We go for at least an hour long walk a day so he can get his exercise and fresh air. His favorite thing to do outside is chase leaves. Its so cute. Sarah

~~I just wanted to update you with the love of our life that we got from you last December! Nala (formerly Snow White I believe) is doing great. We just celebrated her first birthday yesterday. I have attached some pictures of her first year. Some with her friends (my sisters siberian huskies), with my nephew, curled up in a ball, playing catch with a frisbee, at the Mississippi headwaters, and a few days after we got her from you on Christmas! She is absolutely wonderful, and we couldn't imagine our life without her. She loves being outside, but is just as content being indoors. All our friends said she is so calm for being a puppy. She loves going on walks, but is fine if we don't have time. Shibas, especially Nala, are so perfect for us. We've had SOOOOOOOO many compliments on her. Everyone thinks she is so beautiful, and ask us about the breed. Thank you so much, we will for sure come to you again when we decide to get another Shiba! Thanks again, Jake and Melissa

Thanks for Yoshi :) We couldn't imagine our lives without him. Darlene

Hello and happy new year! Just wanted to touch base with you and let you know about Saki (violet as a pup)She is doing great and we couldn't thank you enough for such a perfect puppy to have in our home. Everywhere we go, people want to know what type of dog she is, and comment on how gorgeous she is. She certainly has quite a love for outdoors and especially the snow. She begs to go outside all the time and love trying to bury herself in the snow. She also loves the walks we take her on through the woods. We'll send a couple pics via e-mail. And thank you again for such a wonderful addition to our family. Kristi and Mark

Cali and Samson are doing GREAT! They are so wonderful and I am seeing a different side of Ron, as he is just so happy with both of them and doing things just for them. They are both getting better with the leash and harness, as they know that means that we are going out for an adventure. I can't tell you how happy we are with them and I thank you so much for everything. I hope that everything is going well for you and your family. 2008 has gotten off to a good start. Cali and Samson are a great addition to our home and now, they are part of the family. Michele

~~I hope you and your family are doing well. I just wanted to let you know how Maru is doing recently. He will be 8 months old next June and weighs almost 24 lbs now. He finished his three-month puppy kindergarten class one month ago and now he can get along with most of dogs he meets on the street or at the dog run. We cannot wait for his first summer.

~~Here are recent Maru’s photos. He is now almost 10 months old and has grown up to be a beautiful boy. Take care! Sachiko

~~Just thought I'd give you an update on how Kuma is doing. We just started to hear Kuma bark, mainly at himself in the mirror haha, or when he wants to go outside to potty (He's so good!). But he is just so playful and sweet. His favorite toy is probably this stuffed carrot we bought him that squeaks, he likes pulling on the fabric leaves. Kuma and my other dog Jessie get along fine, even when Kuma tries to bite her tail haha. Kuma sleeps in my room, and when I take naps after a class he curls up next to my chest and burrows his nose under it. I just hope I don't roll over! :). So this is what he's been up to the first week, and he also gets his shots this Friday. Robby

~~I couldn't help myself but to check out your website again. I just love looking at pictures of new litters!! I just wanted to let you know that JJ (originally Louie) is doing great. He really has grown up in the last 6 months and it has been a joy. He loves to play with other dogs which was something that we were worried about because of the breed. He is able to stand his ground with any sized dog, even great danes!! I really appreciate the fact that you are breeding such lovely animals and I hope that one day we can purchase another one from you. I have attached a picture of our happy man! Just like his dad (Paladin) and mom (Remi), he smiles for the camera!! Katie

~~Hope all is well for you. Things are going great here and Lilly is really growing so fast. She also is turning more cooper colored on her ears and back legs. She has had her second set shots and will get her third in two weeks. Well everyone loves her here and she loves everyone too. Will keep and touch and will let you know when she gets spayed this summer. Ashley

~~I just wanted to send you some recent pictures of Akina (Princess). I can't tell you how happy we are with her. We get tons of compliments everywhere we take her. She's turned into a local celebrity at the park, and everyone loves her energy and the way she prances around. Our vet even asked us if her parents were show dogs, because he can already tell that she is going to grow into a great looking Shiba!! Steve ___________________________________________

~~I just thought I'd give you an update on how Tao's doing. He's an absolutely wonderful dog and we couldn't love him any more. He loves everyone and everything and he is just a little spitfire. He loves to play and to snuggle (and to chew) and we love having him around. He's smart as a whip and I could swear he's a miniature person sometimes. We couldn't thank you any more for providing us with such a wonderful puppy! A few photos (it's hard to get him to stand still long enough to take a really good one!) and the proof of his neuter surgery that was done a couple of weeks ago (he came through it like a true champ!) are attached. Thank you so much, Amber & Family

~~Thank you so much for raising a smart, loving and devoted puppy. Cinnamon is so smart and watches over the kids. She is always by their side when they play outside. She is very smart and can sit, stay, come, and brings back the ball. She is also learning how to shake. Everywhere we go people ask to take her picture. I feel like she is a celebrity. I attached some cute pictures for your website. Thank you, Kevin, Connie, Alicia and Jayden

~~Hello! I just wanted to check in with you. We are so happy with Neiku! She is sooo sweet, we are amazed! She is probably the best puppy and we are shocked that she came potty trained! When we brought her to the vet we got so many compliments and they took her picture to keep as "the worlds cutest puppy"! Thank you so much she is such a joy! Jenna and Neiku

~~Hi, I was SO incredibly excited to meet Sunflower. She was a total surprise for me (I'm writing this follow-up for my boyfriend since he bought her as a gift for me). We have since renamed her to MOCHI. She is such a sweet puppy and a wonderful addition to our home. We love her! The pick-up went well and she was exacly what we were hoping for. =) We will keep in touch and will let you know when she gets spayed. Thank you, Jordan and Erin

~~We just wanted to update you on Kuma and Raiden (Remy and Kenji's pups that we picked up last March). They are wonderful dogs! We get so many compliments on them. They are very friendly and playful. Kuma is looking a lot like Kenji and Raiden looks exactly like Remi. They are the best addition to the family! We love them so much. We hope to look forward to having another one of your future Shiba's added to the family! Thanks for breeding these amazing dogs. Julie and Justin

~~We are very happy with our puppy Sammy and he gets along great with our other pets! He loves walks and baths. He likes to take naps in the afternoon on his bed. He loves to fetch and play with his toys. He has had all his shots and he loves the dog park alot! He likes pictures and misses us when we have to go. He is potty trained now and does very well. He loves to chase the hose and just have fun! We love our Shiba Inu!!! -- Jamie

~~Thought you might like to see what "snow white" has grown into. She is now known as Bailey. This is our third Shiba, and every one has had a unique personality. She definitely has a mind of her own. Bailey is very energetic and has more "catlike" qualities than either of our other shibas have had. We really enjoy her, and may need a young playmate for her. Thanks again, The Whitman's

~~Ginger has been doing great! She is making herself at home, and is bonding with our other dog, Turbo. They race around the house and end up in one ball of fur. She visited the vet, who gave her a shot that was due, and she has another appointment in three weeks. We are so happy to have her as part of our family! My daughter still can't believe Ginger is part of our household every day when she gets up - she is so happy! Here is a photo of her holding Ginger at the airport just after she arrived. Take care and thank you, Dan

~~I thought I would write to let you know Ginger is doing great. She still gets along great with our other dog, and has become a great companion for our daughter, Ambu. If you want to find Ginger at night, she is often sleeping at Ambu's feet. They love to play games together, especially out in the snow. Ginger loves to get into all sorts of mischief, but she really makes us laugh. Take Care, Dan

Here are a few pics of Sachi. She just got introduced to greenies and loves them. I do spoil her sometimes and let her sleep on the bed. But she is doing great. She graduated from puppy class and the trainer was very impressed with her manner and playfulness. I also attached her receipt/invoice for her Spay bill in order to receive her registration papers. Hope all is well and I'll definitely send more pics next time. Thank you.

~~Just letting you know the pup made it home just fine! I think he slept a lot during his flight because he's been sprinting around for the past 5 hours with nothing but energy! He's absolutely perfect and my girlfriend and I just love him! He's extremely playful and super friendly! We named him Toshi, like short for Toshiba. Couldn't ask for a better puppy. Thanks again Amy!

I am writing to you on the one year anniversary of Starr (AKA Emi) becoming part of our family. To sum up how our year has been with her could be described in one word: AWESOME! She has been a true delight for our family. She is affectionate, independent, playful, extremely social with people and other animals. As you can see by the photos her inseparable partner throughout the first year has been our lab Joey. You will rarely find a time when they are sleeping or just laying around where they are not close to each other. Emi has learned her boundaries with the cat as well.  We have since fenced in our yard since we did have a couple incidences of escape with extended foot chases! She loves being outside and for extended periods of time just laying in the snow. Thank you very much for such a great dog! Sincerely, Amy and Gary

Just a brief but sincere note of thanks for our Beautiful Shiba Inu we purchased from you April 2012. We named our puppy Simba. . . After the Lion King. He has and continues to brighten our every day! He is so smart and so funny and so darn beautiful!!!! At first. . . Like all puppies he was quite a handful.   . . But I must say he was the easiest dog to potty train that I have ever met. I think he only had a couple of accidents. . . And that was really our fault more than his. . . If all truth be told. And boy did he have a fondness to chew. . . . Blue tooth ear pieces being his favorite item. . . LOL. . . But once again this was due to us. . . The owners leaving them in places that were too tempting and accessible for him to grab and destroy. He has become quite the little hunter. . . To date I think he has captured and (cough) killed 6 rabbits. . . 1 partridge. . . And countless mice.. . Sometimes I think he has some sort of cat in him. LOL! We love to take him for walks. . . Or should I correct myself and say he likes to walk us. . . That dog has actually found mice to capture and (cough) kill while on an actual lease. Simply Remarkable!!!!! It is so funny to watch him nose dive head 1st into the snow in search of his next victory. When he sleeps he somehow always manages to find a pillow to place under his head. . . . So darn cute you can hardly stand yourself. Our Simba loves to smile. .  And will also kiss when asked to!. We love that about him. . . And because we made the decision to add him to our family we are smiling lots more as well. Thank You again for adding so much joy in our lives. I have included a couple of recent pictures of him. I hope you enjoy looking at him as much as we do! Best Wishes, Cindy and Rob. . . . And oh course SIMBA!!!!!!

Hey,
Long time no speak. I'm hoping everything is going well with you. Whiskey turned 1 year old yesterday. He's grown quite a bit. I just want to show some pics in case if you were wondering. Last October, he passed his Canine Good Citizen and has been a blessing to my family and friends.
Thanks for being part of his life.

Hope you had a wonderful holiday! I never did get around to mailing you your Christmas card!! Things just got a little nuts. But I don't want you to think I forgot!
Kenai is doing so well. He went through two rounds of puppy classes, and has been keeping fully up to date with all his shots. He is an incredibly active pup - I think you tried to warn us before we brought him home! He goes to puppy daycare 2-4 times per month during the day while we are at work, depending on my husband and my schedules. The girls at daycare absolutely adore him. They tell us he is the only dog that runs the ENTIRE day without stopping. He is such a Ham! He loves going to the dog park near our home and pretty just about anywhere. My husband is a very big fisherman, and Kenai gets very upset if he realizes daddy is going to take a day and go fishing without him!
He is such a lover, but only on his terms. I love snuggling and smothering him. He used to fight it tooth and nail when he was really little, but now he just sits there and takes it. Must be rough to be loved so much! ;) He loves when company comes over, and always has to put on a little show. If petting him is not the first thing one does when coming into our house, he will throw a fit until you say hello to him.
We did not sleep for the first six months after bringing him home..the poor guy just cried his little heart out all night, every night. He never had to go potty, so we couldn't figure out why he was so upset at night. We have him kenneled when we go to sleep, and after a while he decided he'd had enough and learned how to break himself out without damaging the kennel or injuring himself. He would escape and push our door open, then come running into our bedroom and jump on the bed at 1 a.m. like "Tada! I'm here! Let's play!!" We eventually had to switch to a different kennel, and put a comfortable bed and a blanket inside, along with his little bear (the first toy we bought him before we brought him home - he is named after the main character in Disney's Brother Bear, so I thought it was perfect! - to this day it is still his favorite), and draped the outside with a dark blanket. That was the end of that! He has slept soundly every night since. He clearly knew exactly how he wanted his kennel to be arranged at bedtime, and made sure we didn't get an ounce of sleep until we figured it out.
We are so grateful to have such a spunky and loyal dog. We get compliments on him everywhere we go! We have seen two other Shibas since we brought him home, and we both agree, he is definitely superior in his lineage. Our vet said he is top of his scale for a Shiba, and I think that's what adds to his impressive stature. He is absoultely beautiful!! Were both his parents near the top of their scale as well?? We have always wondered..I am so thankful that I found your website, and cannot imagine our lives without him. Thank you for everything!! Attached are some pictures. Hope you enjoy!!
Sincerely,
Becky

Good morning,
Sassy is doing great(we haven't re-named her yet) and getting along with Ruby very well.
She is more vocal than Ruby ever was and it seems like she just wants to play all night and doesn't get tired :(
Attached is a pic of them together this morning!
Thank you.

Can't believe how time flies.  We just had Pinot spayed yesterday and she's been recovering well.  She's grown into a beautiful dog and has such lovely black/red/cream mixed coloring.  Everyone who meets her loves her and she knows it with her sassy attitude! I've attached some photos of her as well as her spay papers.
Thanks,
Pallavi

We have had Polar for almost 6 years and I get lots of complements about him, his white color for one, his soft downy winter coat feels like out of this world soft. He is such a very gentle dog. Even the vets that very familiar with Shiba Inus, remark on his calm personality. He is not aggressive or shy. Is very comfortable in all situations adults, kids and reserved around other dogs. We have taken him for training at a AKC puppy class. Polar Express is such a joy to have as a pet and four legged companion.

Thank You,

Janet

I cannot thank you enough, she the most precious, beautiful puppy I ever saw. She was so calm and alert when I took out at the airport it was incredible. Her heart rate was steady and not once did she feel distressed. When I got home and let her out of the cage she was such a busy body checking everything out. Once she felt like she can trust the place she came up to me sat down and gave me her paw, ahhhhhhhhh! I bought this awesome dog bed and she took to it like it's been hers from day one. She grab her toys and put them in the bed with her. She is now sleeping. Again ahhhhhh!
Thank you again for making this such a joyful experience. I'll stay in touch. In the meantime, the pic below is of my little Yoshi.....

…. Mommy took me to the vet yesterday for puppy check and shots.  I was sooooo good.  I was quiet and still even when they put the thermometer in me.   They snipped my nails and gave me a shot and I didn't make a peep.  I weighed 8 pounds.  Mommy was so proud of me.  I am almost 100% potty trained in just a week. Mommy says I am  so easy.  I sleep all night in the crate and never make a sound.  I love playing with my big brother Cody.  He is very gentle with me and keeps an eye on me.  He even sleeps next to my crate at night.  I just thought I would tell you how I am doing so you don't have to worry.  I am very happy!  Love, Grace Elizabeth (Sunflower)

Dolly arrived and is as sweet as anyone could imagine.  I am a little surprised that Samson is a tiny bit jealous - mostly about Dolly being around me.  Dolly seems to have no fear of him and I suspect they will work that out over time.  She’s wonderfully playful.  Grace has sorta taken her under her wing - Grace is not annoyed in the least with Dolly climbing on her back and poking in her ear and playing in general… not a sound (growl) from Grace at all.  Grace normally has
trouble with another female in the house for the first couple hours - not in this case.  And, Dolly is holding everything until she’s taken outside to do her business!!!  WOW! - Already!

I think we’re really gona enjoy this happy family for many years to come!!!

Here are some initial pics and I posted them on my FBook Page as well.
If you look close - you’ll see she has a tail hair from Grace stuck on her nose in a couple of these ;-)
